My son Davin is 14 years old and an avid Roller Coaster Geek, his words not mine.

He has studied everything about roller coasters, their designs, their parts and components, their manufacturers and their statistics.  He has been following the construction of Yukon Striker at Canada’s Wonderland for most of last year.

Ever since they announced this new world record roller coaster he has wanted to be one of the first to ride it.   In the past Canada’s Wonderland has run auctions for the coveted seats on the inaugural run.  This year it will be a lottery system with ballots obtained by raising funds for Sick Kids. $100 = 1 ballot and 100% of the funds will go to Sick Kids Hospital.

When Davin was a newborn infant he was in and out of hospital.  At 7 days old he was diagnosed as hypothyroid. We spend many days at Dr. offices and in the hospital trying to sort out the issues and regulate the medication he has to take. We then had another 6 years of constant follow up.  Sick Kids Hospital is instrumental in supporting families and providing care to children with physical ailments/injuries, diseases, disorders and syndromes as well as a multitude of mental health issues.

Raising money for a great cause fulfilling a young kids dream = wins for everyone!
