The feeling of diving down a 245 ft. vertical drop into an underwater tunnel is a sensation that I have dream about since Yukon Striker was first announced on August 15, 2019 - but the feeling of all that while raising funds for Sick Kids is like Striking Gold!
As you may or may not know I am a huge theme park enthusiast and have had the opportunity to ride many different roller coasters across North America but there’s nothing quite like home. I have been visiting Canada’s Wonderland every summer for as long as I can remember, a tradition I grew up with. I have never been more excited for a new addition at Wonderland like Yukon Striker and have been following along during the construction process almost daily.
Growing up I’ve known many people who have been under the care of Sick Kids and now it’s time to help them build a brand-new hospital so they can help even more children from around the world.
“Canada’s Wonderland, in support of SickKids, is holding an exciting First Ride Fundraiser where for every $100 participants raise, they’ll receive one entry in a draw to be the first-to-ride the world-record breaking dive roller coaster Yukon Striker!"
"The park is offering 72 seats on three trains during Yukon Striker’s first ride, April 24. One hundred per cent of funds raised goes to SickKids Foundation in support of world-class care, research education and a brand-new Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, ON.” – Canada’s Wonderland
This is an amazing opportunity and I am hoping I get the chance to be one of the first riders on Yukon Striker thanks to my amazing friends and family!
So, are you ready to help Strike Gold for Sick Kids hospital today?
