Hello my name is Kenneth laing and I am going to tell you my story about when I was in sick kids hospital. About 6 years ago when I was 15 years old I got into an (ATV)  all-terrain vehicle  accident I was then sent to sick kids hospital from Huntsville hospital. When I was in sick kids hospital I had 16  surgeries on my right leg.  I cut 25% on my Achilles tendon I’ve cut two veins going to the foot and I broke my tibia in four places. After every surgery I always looked to see if I still had a leg. I spent almost 2 months in sick kids hospital my doctor told me I was very lucky that I still have my leg because the nerve did not get hurt at all so for 7 to 8 months I had  Metal rods in my leg to hold my tibia together so that the wound on the side of my leg could heal.  After 7 to 8 months with the metal rods in my leg they came out and I got a proper cast put on my leg I had this cast for three months.  And then I got the cast taken off and I got a walking boot put on I am very lucky to still have both legs that I was born with. So to this day I can still work and drive a car and get my dream job of working in public transit thanks to sick kids that can happen. I give a big thank you to sick kids hospital and all there staff and doctors and nurses and I will do anything to help this hospital and help all the kids get better and go home to there family’s. once again thank you sick kids for everything that you have done to help me and a big thank you to Canada’s wonderland for helping sick kids as well with events like this and there charity duck drive for sick kids hospital thank you so much and together we will help make kids feel better it doesn’t matter if it is $1.00 or $500.00 anything counts. So thank you sick kids for all the hard work and support and thank you to anyone and everyone that donated and together we will make kids get better.
